The Purpose

The District needs a technology plan to provide a roadmap for accountability as well as justification for funding of much needed technology initiatives and grants. This technology plan is a roadmap addressing how DCSD plans to use technology for the next three years.

Considering technology is a tool used to support and enhance efforts to achieve the district’s vision, the district’s strategic plan is the foundation of this technology plan. Therefore, the purpose is further extended to:

  • Ensuring student success, leading to higher education, work, and life-long learning.

  • Focusing on teaching and learning with a goal of embedding an equitable and accessible 21st Century Learning Environment.

  • Supporting students with emerging technologies through the curriculum.
