Cross Keys High School senior serves as November student school board representative.
Dennis Lin, a senior at Cross Keys High School, represented the students of the DeKalb County School District at the Nov. 6 meeting of the DeKalb County Board of Education.
Lin serves as the senior class president and head of the mentoring committee of student council. He currently has a 3.6 GPA and hopes to major in Law and Finance. He wants to be a lawyer and represent people who are taken advantage of by the system. His dream career is to become the President of the United States.
Dennis plans to apply to Harvard, Stanford, Yale, Princeton, University of Chicago, and New York University. He plans to attend a prestigious university in the fall 2018 and pursue a higher level of education and a brighter future.
Dennis is a participant in various academic and community-service based clubs, such as: BETA, National Honors Society, Mu Alpha Theta, Student Council, and Ro Kappa.
Dennis has been a part of various sports programs at his school. He ran cross country, wrestled, and played baseball. Dennis and his team worked hard and fought for the AAA Region Title but came in third, in wrestling last year. Dennis is the Captain of the Cross Keys Indian baseball team.
Through this experience, Dennis hopes to become a stronger leader and advocate within his community. He hopes to better understand the demographic and issues prominent in his District, so that he can work to better and serve it.
