Tapestry Public Charter Continues to Shine with Latest Statewide Honor
Awarded $25K to Further Enhance Innovative Instruction
Tapestry Public Charter School was a big winner at the 20th Annual Georgia Charter Schools Conference.
The Georgia Charter Schools Association awarded Tapestry the “Game Changer Award,” recognizing charter schools that tackled pandemic-related learning loss to produce “game-changing” results during unprecedented circumstances. Tapestry received $25,000 with the award and will use the funds to further its academic mission of inclusive, individualized, and innovative instruction.
The mission of Tapestry Public Charter School is to offer an inclusive, individualized learning environment that is academically engaging, for both neuro-typical students and those on the autism spectrum, and to create a positive school culture that empowers all students to take possession of their innate talents and become creative builders of their futures.
Tapestry provides a rigorous and enriching education for a neuro-diverse student body in grades 6-12, creating an inclusive, innovative, and replicable academic model.
According to the Georgia Charter Schools Association, Tapestry pushed the envelope during the pandemic to significantly impact students and families—implementing, tracking effectiveness, and adapting quickly when needed–paving the way for others to replicate or adapt this strategy in their school communities.
Congratulations on another outstanding recognition!
