(STONE MOUNTAIN, GA)—The DeKalb County School District (DCSD) proudly recognizes and celebrates the remarkable academic achievements of its Class of 2025. In accordance with Board Policy, DCSD has certified 26 valedictorians and 26 salutatorians who have excelled in their studies and embody excellence and leadership.
“I congratulate these remarkable scholars as they celebrate this impressive milestone in their lives,” says Dr. Devon Q. Horton, Superintendent of the DeKalb County School District. “Their hard work, curiosity, and perseverance have led to this moment. I am confident that as each embarks on their next journey, they will pursue their paths with the same vigor and determination that has led them here. We can’t wait to see all they will achieve!”
Board Policy IHDA specifies that the valedictorian is the student with the highest cumulative grade point average, while the salutatorian holds the second-highest. These honors are determined after the first semester grades have been posted. In the event of exact ties, multiple students will be named.
