Health Inspections
The National School Lunch Program federal regulations require each school to have (2) Health Inspections per year. DeKalb County Schools are inspected by the DeKalb County Board of Health. The date of the inspection is listed by the name of the school and the health inspection score. The DeKalb County School Nutrition Health Inspection Benchmark is 95%. The grade and numerical score outlined by the DeKalb County Board of Health are as follows:
- A – Food Safety Excellence and is applied to a numerical score of 90 to 100
- B – Satisfactory Compliance and is applied to a numerical score of 80 to 89
- C – Marginal Compliance and is applied to a numerical score of 70 to 79
- U – Unsatisfactory Compliance and is applied to a numerical score of 69 or less
- May 2013: Second health inspection scores will be posted on the School Nutrition website upon completion of DeKalb County Board of Health inspection cycle.

The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation. The completed AD-3027 form or letter must be submitted to USDA by:
