Board Policy JBCC € provisions for a child whose custodial parent or legal guardian is a full-time employee of the District to attend the school at which the parent or legal guardian is employed or within the vertical feeder pattern of the school or work location. Central office employees’ children may attend a feeder pattern school in the vertical feeder pattern of the employee’s primary work location.

These provisions do not apply to the following:

• • Pre—K programs
  • Part-time employees
  • Relatives without legal guardianship
  • Magnet or specialty schools and programs
• Grades: K—12
• Eligibility
  • Full-time employee’s biological child.
  • Child of an appropriately documented legal guardian who is a full-time employee of the District.

  • Apply within the Employee Student Transfer Open Enrollment window.
  • Employment, grade level, and parent/guardianship verification.
  • Approvals are based on seat availability at the requested schools.
• Continuation Guidelines
  • Students must follow the DeKalb County School District Student Code of Conduct and School Choice Guidelines.
