- Typically developing students must be potty trained.
- *Special needs students must apply directly to the Department of Exceptional Education, so that a seat is offered based on the child’s Individual Educational Plan (IEP), if an applicant with an active IEP has applied and is selected to attend the Coralwood School through the School Choice lottery, his or her seat will be forfeited.

Feeder school options for students with special needs will be based on the child’s Individual Education Plan (IEP). In order to matriculate to Hawthorne Elementary School for first grade from Coralwood, a student must have been served full-time in a co-taught setting during the current school year and must have shown adequate growth in grade-level curriculum standards without the need for additional instructional support models such as Resource. In addition, the student must be able to follow classroom rituals and routines with minimal assistance.
