Description
DSL – a dismissal student license (DSL) is the basic license and is required for all students that will be dismissed with our service. DSL licenses expire for all customers on August 31 each year; our pricing varies monthly to account for the remaining time available on the license. DSL is transferable. If a student is no longer enrolled at the school the license for that student becomes available for a different student once the departing student is removed from the application. ECL – extended care licenses are used to track students in extended care – before or aftercare – and provide for billing, parent statements on-line, and more. These licenses are not transferable as we retain the financial data for a student even after the student has permanently disenrolled at the school. ECL licenses are optional but each ECL requires a corresponding DSL. ECL expires each year on July 15. WCL – web connect licenses allow parents to sign in via a browser to adjust dismissal settings for a student. We include this license at no additional cost for the first license term for all students. These licenses expire concurrent with DSL AAL – all-access licenses allow parents to sign in via the Silent Dismissal Parent Connect app. This service is licensed by device and is typically paid for by parents via an in-app purchase although we do have some schools that purchase this feature to provide to parents. AAL is required to allow parents to call for student pick up themselves within a defined geofence boundary. AAL is optional and expires each July 15
Social-Emotional Learning – managing student safely at the end of the school day, including carpool, buses, daycare vans, and after-school tutoring enrichment programs.
Extended care service provides a simple touch interface to collect student check-in records for billing for after-school care.
Parents are an important part of dismissal, whether they are picking up students or defining what children do at the end of the school day. Silent Dismissal provides parents unprecedented control while simultaneously relieving staff of tedious work.
Silent Dismissal (SD) is provided as Software As A Service – SAAS; which means that the only requirements for access are internet connectivity and a modern browser. SD can run on phones, tablets, Chromebooks, laptops, and desktops; running a variety of operating systems such as Windows, Linux, MacOS, iOS, and Android; using a variety of different browsers such as chrome, edge, safari, opera, and more.
We also have iOS and Android versions of our mobile app for staff that is available at no additional charge. The mobile app allows schools to scan QR codes of parents and students using the camera on the device but it is possible to perform those operations via data entry in browser in the event the school does not want to install a mobile app.
The SAAS runs in a secure data center with georedundant infrastructure.
