Partnerships Process
Establishing a DCSD Partnership
The first step to becoming a partner with the DeKalb County School District (DCSD) is to complete the Partnerships Interest Form. DCSD requires all partners to be fully registered and approved prior to providing any services.
- Once the Partnerships Interest Form has been submitted, the team will review the form and follow up with partners within two weeks. If additional information is required before approval can be granted, the team will reach out to the contact(s) listed on the Partnerships Interest Form.
- An approved partner is an organization that: 1) provides services, programming, or both at no cost to the school or school district, 2) and/or has a fully executed School/District Partnership Agreement or Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on file with the school district.
Once Approved
- A member of the Grants & Partnerships team will reach out to schedule an appointment to discuss the next steps that must be completed to ensure that the program is aligned to DCSD policies and priorities.
- Meet with the Grants & Partnerships team to discuss the partnership.
- Creation and development of a Partnership Agreement.
- The Partnership Agreement is a formal legal agreement administered by the school district’s Division of Community Engagement and Innovative Partnerships, which is between the school district and an organization offering programming and/or support services to schools or the district at no cost.
- For most school-based and district partners, the Partnership Agreement is the easiest and most efficient option for satisfying this requirement. For more information, contact the Grants and Partnerships team.
- Please note that certain partnership relationships and activities may necessitate a formal Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between or among partners and DCSD. MOUs help to outline the responsibilities of each party and establish parameters for the types of partnership activities that the district will permit to occur on DCSD property or with DCSD students.
- After the Partnership Agreement or MOU has been agreed upon between the partner organization and the district or school, the documents are submitted for review and approval, and a team member will provide next steps.
Please Note: Existing partners currently providing services in DCSD will also be required to register and update information annually.
