All DeKalb County School District (DCSD) schools and administrative offices will be closed on Monday, January 21, 2019 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Schools and offices will reopen on Tuesday, January 22, 2019.
DeKalb Schools will be closed for Spring Break from April 1-5, 2019. Administrative offices will be closed April 4-5, 2019. Schools and administrative offices will reopen on Monday, April 8, 2019. We wish all of our students, teachers, and staff a safe and wonderful spring break!

The Finance Division will hold public hearing meetings about the district’s intent to opt out of the statewide adjusted base year ad valorem homestead exemption. The hearings will take place at the AIC on:
- Wednesday, January 22, at 10 a.m.
- Wednesday, February 5, at 10 a.m.
- Thursday, February 6, at 6 p.m.
