DeKalb County Schools hosted three Area Track Meets last weekend bringing together fourth and fifth grade track participants for an opportunity to advance to the first DeKalb County Elementary Track Championship on Saturday.

Twenty-four of the best in each event (8 each from each area) advanced from the three Area meets to compete for the county titles.

The County Championships events are set for Saturday at Godfrey Stadium. The parade of competitors opens the meet at 9:00 am with competition set to begin at 9:30 am.

Sixty-one DeKalb elementary schools have at least one representative competing on Saturday with 300 competing for the gold.

Tickets are available on GoFan.co under DeKalb County. Adult tickets are $7 while student and seniors are $5. Tickets must be purchased through GoFan as they are not sold at the gate.
