The Chamblee boys’ and girls’ swim teams are hosting the 2025 DeKalb Swimming and Diving Championships on Friday and Saturday as they vie to defend their sweep of a year ago at the Chamblee High pool.
The one-meter diving competition is set for a 5:00 pm on Friday at Chamblee High School and the heats/finals begin at 12:00 pm on Saturday.
The Chamblee Bullsharks have won two consecutive county championships and nine overall. They ran away with the 2024 title with a 72-point win over Lakeside (245-173). The Bullsharks collected a total of 15 medals (8 gold, 3 silver, 4 bronze) on the way to the win.
Lakeside set 13 state qualifying times while picking up four silver medal finishes a year ago for the second place finish. The Vikings last won the title in a tie with Dunwoody in 2022. Lakeside leads the county with 22 county titles followed by Dunwoody with 15 and Chamblee with nine.
Dunwoody finished just seven points behind Lakeside, good for third place while grabbing four gold medals.

The Lady Bullsharks won for the second time in three seasons and fifth overall title in a tight race with then defending champ Lakeside 239-219 with Decatur coming in third with 184.
Chamblee had four gold medals out of 13 Top Three finishes in the win while Lakeside finished with 10 Top Three finishes and six gold medals in the swim for the title.
Lakeside won its 27th title in 2023 to lead the county girls’ title count while Dunwoody comes in second with 15 having last won in 2018 that completed a four-year reign.
