The Southwest DeKalb Panthers scored two second quarter touchdowns to take control against the Arabia Mountain Rams on the way to a 25-6 non-region girls’ flag football game in a tripleheader at Hallford Stadium on Monday night.

For the second game in a row on Monday the Rams (0-10) scored first to go up 6-0 on a 32-yard run by Trinity Rivers. The extra point was no good to keep it at 6-0.

Redan would use the next six minutes and 13 seconds on the clock for an eight-play, 66-yard drive to knot the score at 6-6 on a 10-yard scoring run by Camiyah Waller. The extra point failed to keep the score tied at 6-6 with 8:50 remaining in the first half.

Waller broke the tie with 29.6 seconds left in the half as she got loose for a 61-yard touchdown run. The extra point failed again to keep the margin at 12-6 at the half.

The score remained 12-6 in favor of the Panthers (14-4) until the fourth quarter as Waller scored on a 19-yard run, her third touchdown of the game, to push the advantage to 19-y as Charlia Varner ran in the extra point.

Four minutes later Varner threw a 19-yard touchdown pass to Ariyahna Hinds Perry to add to the lead. The extra point try failed for the final of 25-6.

Waller finished the game with 103 yards rushing and three touchdowns on just eight carries.
