The two DeKalb County girls flag football teams with the most wins this season met on Monday night at in the final game of a tripleheader Hallford Stadium as the Redan Raiders rallied for a 6-6 tie with the Southwest DeKalb Panthers.

The Division 3 Area 8 runners-up Panthers (14-4-1) struck with 2:56 to play in the first quarter as Camiyah Waller got outside and raced past the Raider defenders on the way to a 46-yard touchdown run. The extra point was no good and Southwest DeKalb led 6-0.

Southwest DeKalb reached the Redan seven-yard line just before the half, but failed to score as time ran out in the second quarter.

The Division 1 Area 6 champion Redan opened the second half with a time consuming six minute and 34 second drive finished off by an 11-yard touchdown pass over the middle from Pryncess Anderson to Legend Williams to tie the game with 3:36 to play in the third quarter. The extra point was no good and the score remained tied at 6-6.

The Raiders put together another long drive in the fourth quarter using up another six minutes only to stall as a fourth down play came up well short at the Panthers 38.

Southwest DeKalb moved the football down the field only to have the clock run out as they got inside the Redan 20.

Waller rushed for 89 yards on nine carries to lead the Panthers while Anderson rushed for 49 yards and threw for 85 more to pace the Raiders.
