The first game of a girls’ flag football non-region tripleheader at Hallford Stadium on Monday night went to Redan Raiders 42-6 over the Arabia Mountain Rams.

Arabia Mountain (0-9) took the lead after holding Redan (16-2) on a fourth down play and taking over at the Raiders’ 17-yard line. They scored three plays later as pass from Kiarra Higgins found Destiny Oliver for a nine-yard touchdown with 7:00 minutes left in the first quarter. The extra point was no good and the score remained 6-0.

Redan would answer right back on the way to 42 unanswered points as Kameron Smith took the football 65 yards to the house on the second play following the Rams’ score. Legend Williams passed to Smith for the extra point and Redan took the lead for good at 7-6 with 4:30 left in the first quarter.

The Raiders would score three touchdowns in the final 2:40 of the first half, the first coming on 53-yard pass play from Pryncess Anderson to Anna Williams (Smith extra point run) to make it 14-0.

An interception by Koryonia Magee gave Redan the football at the Rams’ 11-yard line and needed just two plays to score with Legend Williams passing to Anna Williams for a five-yard touchdown. The pair converted the extra point to make it 21-7 with 1:18 to play in the half.

Following a punt, the Raiders were set up at the Rams’ 25 and needed just one play to score as Anderson hit Anna Williams for a 25-yard scoring play as the first half horn sounded. Smith converted the PAT again to make it 28-6 at the half.

Anna Williams set up the first second-half score by Redan with an interception and then caught a 15-yard touchdown pass from Anderson (Smith PAT) to extend the lead to 35-6.

Smith finished off the scoring with a 15-yard touchdown scamper (Anderson to Legend Williams PAT) for the final of 42-6.
