Volleyball season ended for DeKalb County in the Sweet 16 of the state volleyball playoffs as both the Chamblee Bulldogs and Druid Hills Red Devils fell on the road in their respective state tournaments on Saturday.

Chamblee (32-13) travelled to Milton (28-6) on Saturday for late morning match against the No. 1 seeded Eagles. Milton came away with a 25-20, 25-20, 25-15 sweep of the best-of-five match.

The Bulldogs finished with 32 or more wins for the fourth time under Coach Lorri Reynolds and for the seventh time in school history.

The Red Devils (30-19) went to North Oconee and fell in a 3-0 sweep by the home team by scores of 14-25, 9-25, 19-25 to finish their season. Coach Margarita Suarez’s squad finished with the second most wins in program history with 30 on the season. It is second only to a 36-7 season in 2014.
