Trail to the Title Championship game rematch between Cedar Grove and Stephenson to open the season.

A rematch of the 2023 DeKalb Middle School Trail to the Title Championship helps kickoff the opening week of the 2024 season with nine games on tap at four stadiums.

The Cedar Grove Saints and Stephenson Jaguars meet for the first time since their battle in the Trail to the Title Championship game a year ago as they play at Hallford Stadium at 10:30 am. The Saints held off a late Stephenson rally for a 14-10 win to break the Jaguars 17-game win streak and prevent them from winning a county best seventh title.

Cobb (Avondale) Stadium also hosts a doubleheader with Druid Hills hosting Stone Mountain in the 9:00 am game and Bethune set to host Redan at 10:30.

Another doubleheader is set for Hallford Stadium with Miller Grove hosting Columbia in the 9:00 am game followed by the Cedar Grove/Stephenson matchup.
