The 15th annual DCSD Junior All-Star Baseball Classic is set for Dunwoody High School at 6:00 pm today (Monday, June 3).

Dunwoody High School is playing host to the 15th Annual DeKalb County Junior All-Star Baseball Classic today (Monday, June 3) at 6:00 pm.

Since the 2013 event, the format has been an East vs. West format with the West currently holding an 8-2 advantage in the series. The West won its fifth consecutive matchup in 2023 with a tight 6-5 victory, the third one-run game in the series. The East posted wins in 2014 (16-7) and 2017 (12-4).

The East team is coached this year by Southwest DeKalb’s Tyrus Taylor aided by his Southwest DeKalb assistant Ronnie Kendrick.

The 15 representatives for the East include players from Redan (4), Southwest DeKalb (4), Tucker (2), Arabia Mountain (1), Lithonia (1), Miller Grove (1), Martin Luther King (1) and Stephenson (1).

Dunwoody’s Kyle Smith heads up the West coaching staff and is being assisted by Druid Hills’ Andre Mastrogiacomo.

The West squad also has 15 on the roster with players from Dunwoody (4), Lakeside (4), Chamblee (2), Druid Hills (2), Decatur (2) and Cross Keys (1).
