The Chamblee Lady Bulldogs rallied from an 0-1 deficit to win the final four matches on the way to a 4-1 Class 5A girls’ state playoff victory over the Greenbrier Wolfpack at Chamblee on Tuesday morning.
Greenbrier got on the board first behind the No. 1 doubles team of Rebecah Chason and Glory Bright with a 6-4=6-3 win over Chamblee’s Olivia Klein and Mallory Williams to take the early 1-0 in the match.
Senior Isabelle Coursey knotted the match with a 6-3, 6-1 victory over Greenbrier’s Virginia Cassell at No. 1 singles. She broke Cassell’s serve four times in the second set to close out the win.
Chamblee grabbed the lead as Kei Henderson won in straight sets 6-3,6-3 over Mary Hill Eschelbach. Henderson was up in both sets 4-3 and finished with two wins that included service breaks against Eschelbach to put her squad up 2-1 with the No. 3 singles and No. 2 doubles both on the court.
Olivia Pharr and Sami Yarborough teamed up for a pair 6-0 set wins to sweep the Greenbrier duo of Athena Caudell and Caroline Peyton at No. 2 doubles for the deciding victory.

McKenzie Hensarling wrapped up the match with a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Sadie Roebuck at No. 3 singles to make the final score of 4-1.
Chamblee moves on to the Class 5A Sweet 16 and awaits the winner of the first-round match between Jones County and Harris County. A time and date will be announced in the next few days.
