Giving back to your community is a great way to build people up to make a positive contribution in their own lives and the lives of others going forward.
Lakeside High School senior lacrosse swim team member Indiana Crawford made a positive impact by speaking recently with students at Sagamore Hills Elementary.
Crawford communicated in several areas with the students he talked to at Sagamore Hills including making positive choices. He emphasized just being an all-around positive person in every facet of life.
Physical and mental health are keys to this positive lifestyle Crawford relayed to the students. Living a healthy lifestyle and keeping a personal fitness routine go a long way in helping build positivity in life.
The mental health aspect is also a huge factor in anyone’s life. Communication and asking for help if struggling mentally with any problems is very important.
Crawford’s talk was appreciated by the staff and students at Sagamore Hills and they feel he had a very positive impact.
Crawford used his positive attitude to qualify for the GHSA State Swimming and Diving Meet in the 50-yard freestyle and relay events for the past two seasons. He served as a team captain for both his lacrosse and swim teams.
He will be taking his lacrosse talents to play at Young Harris College next fall and continue his education.
