The 2023 DeKalb County Middle School Soccer Championships are set for tonight (Monday, May 1) at 5:30 and 7:00 pm at Hallford Stadium.

Championship matchups were set by semifinal matches played on Friday night with both Peachtree teams advancing along with the No. 1 seed Chamblee girls and No. 1 seeded Tucker boys.

The girls’ semifinals featured a pair of shutouts with No. 3 seed Peachtree knocking off No. 2 seed Henderson (5-2) by a 3-0 margin in the first game at Adams Stadium and No. 1 seed Chamblee (6-0) rolling past No. 4 seed Tucker (4-2) 9-0 in the nightcap.

In boys’ semifinal action both games went into overtime and one going into the penalty kick session.

No. 1 seed Tucker (7-0) pulled out a 3-2 win with a goal in overtime to pull out the win over No. 4 seeded Sequoyah (4-2-1) in the first game at Hallford on Friday. Peachtree (5-1-1), the No. 3 seed, pulled out a big 4-2 margin in penalty kicks to pick up the win over No. 2 seed Chamblee (6-1) after the teams finished tied 3-3 following overtime.

The girls’ championship is set for 5:30 pm at Hallford Stadium as Peachtree (5-1) faces off with undefeated rival Chamblee (6-0). The boys’ championship follows at 7:00 pm with undefeated Tucker (7-0) matching up with Peachtree (5-1-1).
