DeKalb County Schools has eight baseball programs qualified for the GHSA baseball state playoffs which begin on Saturday (April 22) and Monday (April 24).
Dunwoody (12-17) opens first with a trip to Woodward Academy (24-5) for a Class 6A best-of-three series on Saturday. The pair open with a doubleheader on Saturday at 12:00 pm with an, if necessary, game set for 6:00 pm on Monday.
All the other teams play their doubleheaders on Monday and the, if necessary, game on Tuesday.
Three of the teams are in Class 5A with Chamblee (13-12) playing host to Northside of Columbus (14-11-1) at 2:00 pm on Monday. Tucker (11-9-1) goes to Harris County (19-10) for a 4:00 pm doubleheader on Monday. Arabia Mountains (9-9-2) rounds out the Class 5A entries with a trip to McIntosh (24-5) with a 4:00 pm start.
Druid Hills (18-10) and Southwest DeKalb (14-10) are Class 4A state playoff contestants. Druid Hills goes to Pace Academy (16-10) for a 3:00 pm doubleheader and the Panthers travel to Lovett (21-5) with first pitch set for 5:00 pm.
Cedar Grove (1-15) heads to Gordon Lee (18-8) for a doubleheader starting at 2:00 pm.
Redan (16-10), the 2022 Class 3A state runner-up, won the Region 5-2A title and hosts Drew (11-7) in a 1:00 pm doubleheader at Gresham Park on Monday.
