The Chamblee Bulldogs scored 24 points off of four first half turnovers by the Dunwoody Wildcats on the way to a 38-7 non-region win to keep possession of the Golden Spike in this railroad series on Friday night at North DeKalb Stadium.
A personal foul following a punt on Dunwoody’s game-opening possession set the Bulldogs up for their first score taking over at the Wildcats 32. Four plays later Curtis McCorvey scored on an 11-yard scamper to give the Bulldogs the early 7-0. Will Burton was good on the PAT.

Two possessions later Dunwoody put together an 80-yard drive as Porter Ledoyen connected with Connor Haynes on pass plays covering 23 and 43 yards down to the Chamblee 12-yard line. Burton added the PAT to make it a 21-7 advantage for the Bulldogs with 9:53 remaining in the second quarter. It was Ross’ second pick-six of the season and his sixth defensive score on the year including two safeties and two fumble returns.

Cornerback Tristian Sizemore ended the Wildcat’s next possession as he hauled in a pass deep down the left sideline. The Wildcats marched down to the Dunwoody four-yard line. A 49-yard pass play from Walker to Ross down the right sideline put the Bulldogs at the Dunwoody four.
The Bulldog defense held, and Burton came on to kick a 28-yard field goal to make it 38-7.
The second half went scoreless as one long touchdown by Chamblee was called back on a holding call and Dunwoody had a fourth and goal at the six as the game came to an end.
