DeKalb County has six teams in the Sweet 16 round of the GHSA Soccer State Playoffs this week kicked off by two games on Monday.

The Class 7A No. 10 ranked Dunwoody Lady Wildcats (14-5-0) open the week hosting No. 8 Alpharetta in a 5:30 pm match at North DeKalb Stadium on Monday. Dunwoody defeated Forsyth Central 3-1 last week to advance to the second round.

Another Top 10 matchup takes place on Monday night as the Class 5A No. 7 ranked Chamblee Lady Bulldogs (10-5-0) travel to face No. 1 ranked Blessed Trinity (17-1-1) at 6:00 pm. The Bulldogs are coming off a hard fought 1-1, 5-4 penalty kick victory over Jackson County last week.

The Lakeside Lady Vikings (11-6-0) host Richmond Hill (12-3-0) at Adams Stadium on Wednesday at 5:30 pm in the Class 6A girls state playoffs. Lakeside defeated Northside Warner Robins 7-0 last week to reach the second round.

Three boys’ games are set this week as well with Class 6A action involving two DeKalb teams going on the road in the second round.

Tucker (9-10), a 3-0 winner over Lee County last week, heads to Evans to take on Lakeside-Evans (16-2-0) while No. 10 ranked Lakeside (15-2-1), a 10-1 winner over Houston County in the first round, travels to take on Glynn Academy (15-2-1) at 6:30 pm.
The time for the Tucker/Lakeside-Evans match is yet to be set.

Class 4A boys play has No. 10 ranked Druid Hills (9-9-1) going on the road to face off with No. 4 East Hall (12-4-1) on Thursday at 7:30 pm. Druid Hills won 2-0 over Pickens in the first round to advance.
