Four middle school basketball teams headed into fourth week of season undefeated.

After three weeks of play just four DeKalb County middle school basketball teams head into tonight’s games (Wednesday) with unblemished records.

In girl’s play, Lithonia (5-0, 2-0) is atop the Region 3 standings heading into a big region home game against Redan (4-1, 1-1) while Stephenson (5-0, 3-0) leads the Region 2 group and hosts Stone Mountain (0-5, 0-2) in a region contest.

Stephenson (5-0, 3-0) has a matching record in boys’ action with its school’s girls’ team on top in Region 2. The Cedar Grove Saints (5-0, 3-0) head up the Region 4 standings with a trip to region foe McNair (4-1, 1-0) tonight.

Henderson and Tucker are both 2-0 in Region 1 boys’ and girls’ play with the two schools matching up tonight at Henderson for the region lead. Henderson (4-1, 2-0) has one loss coming to undefeated Stephenson in girls’ play and clash a Tucker squad that is 3-1 and 2-0 in the Region. The boys’ game has the Cougars (3-2, 2-0 and Tigers (2-2, 2-0) meeting.

Boys
Cedar Grove 47, Columbia 33
The Cedar Grove Saints remained undefeated with a 47-33 Region 4 victory over the Columbia Eagles (2-3, 0-2). Caleb Taylor scored 12 points and Jamal Graham added 10 as the Saints improved to 5-0 overall and 3-0 in Region 4.

Henderson 43, Peachtree 37
The Henderson Cougars (3-2, 2-0) bounced back from their first loss of the season with a 43-37 Region 1 win over the Peachtree Patriots (1-3, 0-2). Ethan Sams hit for 14 points to lead the way while Chris Jackson added 0 points.

Girls
Chamblee 33, Sequoyah 16
Chamblee evened its record at 2-2 overall and 1-1 in Region 1 with a 33-16 win over the Sequoyah Lady Braves. Sequoyah’s Natalia Gooden put up 16 points in the loss.

Columbia 35, Cedar Grove 19
Makayla Holder and Kamri Gilbert teamed up for 31 points to lead the Columbia Lady Eagles to a 35-19 win over the Lady Saints of Cedar Grove (1-4, 1-2). Holder hit for 16 points and Gilbert collected 15 as Columbia improved to 3-2 overall and 2-0 in Region 4 play.

Lithonia 49, Freedom 10
The Lithonia Lady Bulldogs improved to 5-0 overall and 2-0 in Region 3 action with a 49-10 win over the Freedom Lady Rams. Alika Daughtry poured in 17 points and Laila Williams connected for 11 to lead Lithonia in the win.

Boys
Cedar Grove 43, Bethune 28
Jamar Graham scored 16 points to lead the Cedar Grove Saints to a 43-28 Region 4 win over the Bethune Lions. AJ Green hit for 8 points and grabbed 12 rebounds and Jaylen Adside added 7 points for the Saints in the win.

Stephenson 59, Henderson 28
The Stephenson Jaguars had three players in double figures on the way to a 59-28 win over the Henderson Cougars in non-region action. Christian King and Zyon Williams each hit for 11 points and Winston Bradford scored 10. Henderson was led by Ethan Sams with 9 points and Keonte Gibbs with 8.

Tucker 50, Peachtree 25
The Tucker Tigers rolled to a 50-25 Region 1 victory over the Peachtree Patriots. Jocquise Oliver led the way with 15 points, 6 assists, and 3 steals in the win. Keline Malone added 12 points, 4 assists and 4 steals.

Girls
Druid Hills 32, Sequoyah 14
Natalia Gooden continued her good play for Sequoyah with 10 points and 6 blocks in a 32-14 loss to Druid Hills.

Lithonia 21, Chapel Hill 7
The Lithonia Lady Bulldogs used a great team effort to defeat the defending champions Chapel Hill Lady Panthers 21-7. Alika Daughtry led the way with 12 points.

Miller Grove 38, McNair 12
Lindsey Myles scored 18 points to lead the Miller Grove Lady Wolverines to a 38-12 non-region victory over the McNair Lady Mustangs. Brooklyn Scrubb added eight points in the win.

Stephenson 48, Henderson 42
Sabrina Russell scored 21 of her 22 points in the fourth quarter as the Stephenson Lady Jaguars overcame an 18-point deficit to upend the previously undefeated Henderson Lady Cougars 48-42 in non-region action. Jasmian Merrick came off the bench to score eight points as the Lady Jags remained undefeated.
