Newly renovated North DeKalb Stadium plays host to the 20th Battle for the Golden Spike as Dunwoody and Chamblee lock up for the 20th time in DeKalb County football history.
Dunwoody leads the series 10-9 following a third consecutive win in 2016 (43-6). The Wildcats won 3-0 in 2015 and 18-12 in 2014 to start the streak and are winners in six of the last seven meetings since the series renewed in 2010.
Chamblee last won in the series in 2013 with a 28-0 shutout.
The Wildcats are 1-0 coming off a bye week following a thrilling 38-21 come-from-behind victory over Lakeside in the season opener.
Quarterback Zac Pankey was 12 of 17 passing for 180 yards and 3 touchdowns while Turner Nims hauled in six passes for 104 yards and a touchdown in the opener. Junior defensive back Thomas Neville compiled 12 tackles, including a sack, and caused a fumble.
The Bulldogs (1-1) opened the season with a 22-19 win over Druid Hills in the season opener behind quarterback Stuart Steele (7 of 15 passing, 125 yards, 1 TD) and running back/linebacker Levinte Washington (84 yards rushing, 4 tackles, and a 70-yard fumble return). Chamblee did not fare as well in week two as they fell to Decatur 40-7.
Kickoff is set for 7:30 pm.
The Class 6A No. 1 Ranked Tucker Tigers (2-0) travel to Moultrie to face off with Class 7A No. 2 ranked Colquitt County (2-0) at 8:00 pm on Friday.

Tucker is coming off a 54-0 victory over DeKalb rival Lakeside last weekend. Quarterback Travon Ford was 7 of 11 passing for 134 yards and two touchdowns and receiver Joshua Vann had four receptions for 70 yards and two touchdowns and a 70-yard punt return for a touchdown.

Colquitt County is coming off a 26-7 win over Vista Murrieta (CA) led by Daijun Edwards (11 carries, 120 yards, 2 TDs).
Undefeated Arabia Mountain (2-0) takes on Redan (1-1) in a 7:30 pm game on Friday at Hallford Stadium.
The Rams are coming off a 33-7 win over Martin Luther King Jr. (0-2) last weekend. Thomas Rayton had three sacks and Demetric Barnes added two tackles for a loss as the Rams racked up 11 plays for losses against the Lions.
Redan rebounded from its opening season loss to Southwest DeKalb with an 18-9 victory over Lithonia (0-2) to even the record at 1-1. Quarterback Fredric McKnuckle threw for 105 yards and three touchdowns while receiver Nehemiah Adams hauled in 6 receptions for 73 yards and three touchdowns in the win.
The undefeated Miller Grove Wolverines (2-0) go for their first win in the series with the Martin Luther King Jr. Lions (0-2) in the 8:00 pm game at Godfrey Stadium on Friday night.
Miller Grove trails the series at 0-5, but are coming off consecutive shutout wins 49-0 over Clarkston in the opener and 39-0 over Stone Mountain this past weekend.
The Lions are coming off a tough 7-0 opening loss to Columbia and a 33-7 loss to Arabia Mountain.

The lone Saturday contest for DeKalb has undefeated Columbia (2-0) hosting Dutchtown (1-0) in a 7:30 pm contest at Avondale Stadium.

The Eagles are coming off a 42-7 win against DeKalb rival Druid Hills led by Khalon Manuel’s 8 carries for 175 yards and two touchdowns. Quarterback Tremaine Callaway put up 201 yards of offense (60 rushing, 141 passing with 2 TDs) and receiver Geovanni Dyer had 5 receptions for 77 yards and a touchdown.
