Cross Keys defensive end Matthew Acoste’s caused fumble and recovery with 1:49 to play sealed a 21-16 win over Pataula Charter at North DeKalb Stadium on Friday to give the Indians their first win since the 2014 season.

The Indians’ (1-1) last win was a 30-25 win over the Clarkston Angoras on October 17, 2014.
Cross Keys built up a 21-0 lead in the third quarter and needed Acoste’s big play late to hold on for the win.
Kevin Ravenell, who had 16 carries for 134 yards, put the Indians on the board in the first quarter with a 24-yard run into the end zone for a 6-0 lead heading into the second quarter.
The lead went to 14-0 early in the second quarter on a sweep by Jose Cabrera that went for 12 yards and the touchdown. Ernesto Perez scored the two-point conversion for the 14-0 lead.
Perez pushed it out to 21-0 as he scored on a four-yard dive play. Sebastian Alonso hit the point after for the 21-point lead.
Pataula took advantage of a Cross Keys’ fumble late in the first half to pull within 21-8. A fake on the point after ended with Pataula scoring the  two-point conversion.
The game was still 21-8 in the fourth quarter when Pataula scored to get within 21-14. Pataula (0-5) fumbled the football on a the two-point conversion but got it back to convert and pull within 21-16.
Cross Keys takes on North Springs this weekend.
Tucker 34, Mundy’s Mill 14
The No. 9 ranked Tucker Tigers built an early 14-0 lead and went on to a 34-14 homecoming victory at Adams Stadium over Region 4-6A foe Mundy’s Mill Tigers.
Tucker’s Xavier Shephard hit on touchdown passes of 51 yards to Josh Vann and 88 yards to Taurean Taylor to take the 14-0 advantage in the second quarter. Tucker improved to 5-1 overall and 3-0 in region play. Mundy’s Mill fell to 1-5 overall and 1-3 in the region.
Stephenson 27, Jonesboro 0
Stephenson took another step forward in securing one of the four Region 4-6A playoff spots with a 27-0 win over Jonesboro at Hallford Stadium on Friday night.
The Jaguars (3-3, 2-1) built a 20-0 lead in the third quarter and continued to play tough defense to earn the shutout over Jonesboro (0-6, 0-3).
Quarterback D’Vonn Gibbons hit on 9 of 17 passes for 168 yards with touchdowns to Khalil Newton (5 receptions 108 yards), Jaylen Marson-Knight (23 yards) and Deionray Fagin (21 yards) to lead the Jaguars. Shaun Jolly returned a punt 88 yards for another score.
Northview 35, Dunwoody 28
Dunwoody’s big rally came up just short in a Region 7-6A road game 35-28 loss at Northview on Friday night.
Northview grabbed a 21-0 lead at the half and made it 28-0 in the third quarter before the Wildcats (2-3, 1-2) came storming back to tie the game at 28-28 with six minutes to play.
Receiver Turner Nims and quarterback Nick Pastrone keyed the rally for the Wildcats. Nims would finish the game with 10 receptions for 256 yards and two touchdowns. Pastrone finished the game 17 of 41 for 390 yards passing.
Northview (1-4, 1-2) scored with under a minute to play to get the 35-28 win.
