The Lakeside Vikings knocked off Druid Hills 15-3 to win the 2016 Randy Case Memorial JV Baseball Tournament last weekend.

The Vikings finished second in the Red Region standings at 5-3 overall, but won three games in the tournament. Lakeside advanced to the finals with a 15-4 victory over White Region champion Arabia Mountain which had finished the regular season 8-0.

Druid Hills finished the regular season 2-6, but came through the tournament and defeated Decatur 4-3 to upset the Bulldogs who had finished in a tie for the Blue Region title with Southwest DeKalb at 6-2 to advance to the finals.
