The 2015-16 DeKalb County basketball season gets underway tonight (Tuesday) as Lakeside hosts Cross Keys in a pair of games beginning with the girls at 5:30 and the boys at 7:00 pm.

The two schools get to be the first teams to get regular season play underway.

Friday has four more games on tap and Saturday features the Southwest DeKalb Shootout II with seven boys’ games beginning with Chamblee vs. Eagle’s Landing tipping off at 11:30 on Saturday morning.

Stone Mountain and Dutchtown follow at 1:00 pm and Jones County takes on Henry County at 2:30 pm. Redan and Rockdale County lock horns at 4:00 pm following by Martin Luther King Jr. and Therrell at 5:30 pm

South Atlanta Christian Academy and Heritage collide at 7:00 pm and host Southwest DeKalb takes on Salem in the nightcap at 8:30.

Tickets are $10 for adults for the day and $5 for students.

Other games Saturday feature Miller Grove hosting Dunwoody in a Region 6-5A tussle with the girls opening at 5:30 pm and Hiram travels to Stephenson for a 6:00 pm start for the girls.
