Shaquille O’Neal donates backpacks, coats and toys to students
On Friday, December 7, 2018, over 350 students at one DeKalb County School District (DCSD) school welcomed a very tall special guest.
Shaquille “Shaq” O’Neal visited Kelley Lake Elementary as part of his 26th annual Shaq-a-Claus event. O’Neal teamed up with Zappos.com, Macy’s, Amazon and other sponsors to deliver toys to students.
As part of a school-wide event all students received backpacks filled with non-perishable food, winter coats and small gifts for family. Students in pre-kindergarten through second grade received two toys, third and fourth graders received bicycles, and fifth graders received Kindle devices.
