Educators can apply for a $7,500 award by September 28, 2018
The DeKalb County School District (DCSD) invites our excellent educators to apply or nominate a colleague for the Atlanta Families’ Awards for Excellence in Education. Applicants can be teachers, assistant principals or principals with at least two years of experience in education and have taught in DCSD during the 2017-2018 school year.
If selected, each winner will receive a $7,500 grant that includes $3,500 for a school project of their choice, $2,500 personal stipend and $1,500 for professional development opportunities to increase effectiveness in the school or classroom. The deadline to apply is September 28, 2018.

Atlanta Families’ Awards for Excellence in Education (AFAEE) has awarded $37,500 to the following DeKalb County Educators:

- Katherine Kelbaugh, The Museum School of Avondale Estates
- Carrie Staines, Druid Hills High
