Students participating in the culinary arts program at Miller Grove High School will showcase their training and skills in a video series by Springer Mountain Farms.
Chef Keio Carter Gayden, Miller Grove culinary instructor, will join students Rodericha Jenkins and Aljiir Blakely El Bey in the live 15-video series that showcases their technical abilities in knife skills, small and large equipment identification, basic cooking methods, preparing produce and proteins, baking and pastry, and others. Springer Mountain Farms, a national family-owned company firm, chose Miller Grove because it is industry certified through the American Culinary Education Federation, and based on its reputation at events such as the Atlanta Wing Festival and The Taste of Atlanta.
The pilot episode of the series can be found to the right. Future episodes will take place live.
